Greetings, I heard that there is an old software floating around out there that can capture, with the help of a PC, an MPEG 2 HD stream via a pvr's firewire port. The software itself also provides the chipset driver for the pvr and it is required to be installed before the software can be functional. During capture, however, one cannot monitor the stream. The program did not provide this feature and the author, who wrote it back in 2002, had presumably abandoned the project. Has there ever been any versions of OBS able to provide real time monitoring and capturing of a tv stream from a pvr? Many thanks for any input.
