Bug Report Push to talk on "\" does not work

Hello,

I'm used to use button "\" located next to the left shift, resp. between left shit and Y, on my keyboard for push to talk. Not all keyboards have this additional button there and for some reason OBS Studio don't want to accept this key for push to talk. OBS Classic have no problems with it though. I already tried to manually copy the "\" key into the push to talk bind but after saving it just dissapears. Any help appreceated, thank you.

Seems to be working fine here, not sure exactly which key you're referring to, though?

I am reffering to this key:

If I go to the settings -> hotkeys -> microphone push to talk and push this button, nothing shows up. The window remains empty like nothing was added. It works in OBS classic as I said. It is supposed to show "\" but it does not.

Yeah I have one under backspace too and it inputs "\" just like this key is supposed, but it does not work if I input it and then use the key next to the shift. The number is 220.

I'm not sure then, it sounds like an issue with the keyboard itself not sending the key properly.

Weird... I don't know, it works in firefox, mumble, obs classic, notepad... I noticed it as soon as OBS Studio came out and back then I had a different keyboard so I thought it was an issue with OBS Studio and kept using Classic until more features got implemented. Recently I switched to Studio and noticed the problem is still there. Is there anything else we can try?

I just tried it on my laptop which also has this key and it does the same thing as on my desktop. It just ignores it. Then I grabbed a spare keyboard in my office, plugged it into the laptop and tried it. Same thing - nothing shows like I pushed nothing.

For fun I went to Stream options and tried to input it into Stream key and it works there. It types "\" like it is supposed to. Then I tried other places and it essentialy works anywhere else (profile name, replay buffer prefix and suffix, scene and source name etc..) than in hotkeys.
