PTZ - Loss of control

We are operating with OBS and PTZ Optics-30x SDI. I have set up to display the camera and also to set up a Display from SongShow Plus.
The camera and the display are different resolutions. We need this because we are also displaying to an overhead projector with the same feeds. This means that when streaming, there are strips of video on both sides of the display that are the camera feeds if both the display and camera are left running at the same time.

To eliminate the strips of video on both sides of the display, I would like to turn off the Camera while displaying text or video. When I do this, then turn it back on, the PTZ Optics screen control stops working. The presets won't work and the PTZ controls don't work. In order to get it back, I have to shut down OBS and restart. This is a problem while streaming since it stops the steam and we get irate phone calls.

Suggestions??

For me, it would be helpful to understand
- what resolution is camera
- what resolution display are you using?
- what is projector resolution?
You can't change stream video resolution mid stream. I mention as I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish. and which display is the black stripes (monitor? projector output? stream?)

the black strips indicate a mis-match in resolution. Stretching generally is bad as you then have image distortion (circles aren't round), so typical recommendation would be to crop image

There is no good reason to turn off camera (physically.. not sure if that is what you meant). Do you mean disable (turn off) video source in OBS? A crash in a vendor (PTZOptics's plug-in in this case) is something you should ask them for support on... though if I had to guess, I suspect you are doing something you shouldn't, hence the crash

Or maybe you just need to change (ie a new/additional) OBS scene without the camera as a source?

Marc, I'm just now browsing here. Have you solved this issue? If not, I have an idea.
