Hey folks! I've been dealing with a problem for the last few months that's doing my head in and while I've concocted some ideas that would probably remedy my issue, I'd rather go to the experts before I commit to spending money.
To put a long story short, any time I record or stream video and audio from my PS4 with my AVerMedia LGP, the audio will gradually desync throughout either, begin to stutter, and then cut out completely (video for reference https://youtu.be/DuN6QEytmkg). I am capturing both video and audio from the Video Capture Device source.
To explain my current set-up (and maybe narrow down potential problems I may be having), due to only having a one display set-up going, I have the HDMI output for both my PC and PS4 plugged into an HDMI splitter, which then feeds into my capture card which then feeds into my monitor, and then I have a set of headphones plugged directly into the capture card to listen to either desktop audio or PS4 audio depending on which is being displayed. I've attempted capturing audio from the card with a line-in, but this results in additional problems, such as a) audio being pitched down if set to 44.1HZ (I assume because the PS4's default sample rate is 48HZ) and b) a pervasive low humming or buzzing that, I understand, would likely be remedied by a ground loop isolator (but that would be the "before I commit to spending money.")
Any help in fixing the former problem would be appreciated. :)
