Question / Help Profiles are not unique and deleting scenes affects all

Hi, I would have thought Profiles would allow you to have different scenes in them and to be unique, but I just created a new profile so it could be blank and started deleting scenes but to my horror found that in my original profiles all those scenes had also been deleted.

As far as I remember when I first learned OBS, when you create a new profile it allows you to create the scenes you need, but If I try creating a new one, I have all the previous profiles there which is why i tried deleted them.

2nd question: I have 2 webcams and I was wanting to stop the main built in webcam from startng up when I load OBS to reduce the CPU usage, that is why I started deleting scenes with the webcam in, but that resulted in the above. I have deleted all reference to the PC webcam in all scenes and sources and restarted the unit, but the webcam light still comes on every time I start OBS.

Any help appreciated.

A profile is a streaming source like Twitch, youtube etc. you setup up to stream to.

I see, and Scene Collection is for creating new layout of scenes, ok thanks for that. As Profiles comes up on the menu before Scene Collectiotn, it would make sense that Profiles would also allow you to save different scenes. anyway thanks for that.

I have scenes named for Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years Eve etc...
Each scene contains sources I use just for that scene...
