I have 2 pc's and a capture card. I also installed a rtmp server on the stream pc.
144hz gsync monitor and sli on the game pc.

So I have two ways of doing this.

1. Game Pc -> obs fullscreen preview on capture card monitor -> Stream Pc -> capture card -> Video Capture Device.
My problem here is that I see screen tearing in the stream picture.

2. Game Pc -> obs -> rtmp stream (nginx) -> Stream PC -> media source
The Problem here is that video (media source) starts to create more and more artifacts after a while and keeps buffers from time to time.

First it runs fine. than the picture looks like the picture below. freezes, and comes back a few seconds later

Thanks in advance.

Which capture card are you using? Why not just duplicated the picture form the 144hz monitor gaming pc and send this via hdmi to the streaming pc capture card and record / steaming using obs?

Elgato Game Capture HD 60 Pro

Because the 144hz monitor uses dvi and not hdmi.

split the hdmi

Not possible because the 144hz monitor uses dvi and not hdmi.

duplicate the monitor output.

That is what I described with method #1. Screen tearing in the stream picture.

The VLC Video Source also started to freeze after a while.

Hi,

My current setup uses a 144mhz monitor connected to my GPU then within windows duplicated and outputted to the HDMI port which is passed down the HDMI input on the HD60 Capture card in my second pc.

@zdennis what gpu are you using and what outputs does it have? is it only a single dvi?
