Question / Help Problems with Facebook Streaming

Hi all! My collegue is having problems starting the stream on Facebook. He never gets to the PREVIEW stage. He always gets an error message (from facebook):

"TOO LOW VIDEO FRAME RATE 15.xxxxx"

Is this an Internet connection problem or a platform problem? He runs the OBS on Windows 7 on an outdated Acer laptop.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

This right here is probably the crux of the issue. His computer is old. However, without any logs to review, we can't say for sure. The Facebook error means what it says - Facebook isn't receiving enough frames per second.

Has he followed the guide for streaming to Facebook? Has he checked if his Internet connection can handle streaming live video out? Why isn't he posting here directly?

Edit: Also, please post logs from a session that attempts to stream to Facebook Live.

I'm getting this same error but I've had it work on this same computer before, its a thinkpad less than 3 years old, windows 8. And normally my computer is fine, but I've noticed it does run slow when I have obs open.

The only weird thing going on is right before I was getting ready to try and stream, my c key got stuck. I shut down and cleaned it off (I think a dog hair got caught in it) and re started my computer and the key is fine now, but I don't know if that could have done anything.

Hi,

I have the same problem everytime I try to stream videos from OBS to Facebook.
I keep getting a message on Facebook saying "TOO LOW FRAME RATE". The video keeps going but the stream is very poor.

My bitrate is 2.500 and FPS is 30.
My computer: Samsung Notebook Intel Core i5 2.60GHz
RAM 6 GB 64-bit Windows 8

Is the internet or the computer? Or something else?
