Problems With Audio on One of A Set of Microphones.

I am using OBS to broadcast church services to Facebook and YouTube. There are 4 different microphones in different parts of the church feeding into an amplifier. I take a line from the headphone socket on the amplifier into my PC.

Everything has been working fine up until about a week or so ago but now I am having major issues with one of the microphones – the audio works fine for a few minutes, then it disappears completely, then it comes back choppy, then it is ok for a while again until the cycle repeats. The obvious culprit would be the wiring from that mic to the amplifier but if that were the case, then I would expect the same problems to manifest on the PA system from the amplifier but they don’t – the audio from that mic is perfect over the PA.

I don’t know what to do with this; checking the cabling from the mic to the amplifier is beyond my competence and I don’t want to incur the expense of bringing a technician in to check it if the problem is elsewhere in the OBS/hardware setup; any tips for solving this or troubleshooting it would be appreciated.

BTW, I have checked the sampling rates which are the usual solution not choppy sound. The mics were set to 48 and OBS to 44 so I have changed them both to 44 but that has made no difference. Operating System is Windows 10 and OBS version is 25.0.8 (64 bit).

You have some problems with audio card ?
That was when the audio card was set to 48000 but OBS to 44100. I changed the audio card to 44100 and that seems to have got rid of that particular issue. I have attached another log from after that change was made.

To avoid problems with Audio I always recommend VoiceMeeter to deal with the audio. And only send one or two feeds to OBS like B1 for Chrome,Skype, etc, B2 for Music and Mic. In OBS you only have ASIO And AUX as audio.

More info, see my channel on that.
