I am a newbie but set up OBS and I have RTSP camera set up under scene and Media source. I am able to see video under media source properties but when I am in preview it's a black screen. I set up another scene and I used my internal camera as the media source and it worked under preview. So is there something I am doing incorrectly with my rtsp camera that is why it's not showing up on preview ?

In the preview, select the source and click Ctrl+F, see if that helps.
If it doesn't, it could be because the Media Source has a very low buffer. Try the VLC source instead
VLC source requires VLC to be installed on your system, with the correct bitness. 32-bit VLC for 32-bit OBS, or 64-bit VLC for 64-bit OBS. | Windows users: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-windows.html (32-Bit by default, 64-Bit can be downloaded by clicking the arrow next to the 'Download VLC' button) | Mac users: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html
