Please be patient as I explain my situation in full. I've been streaming for just over six weeks with minimal problems. Up until yesterday I had gone a couple weeks at least without any problems at all, good kb/s, no dropped frames, no problem. Then yesterday when I launched my stream I had major inconsistency with my kb/s and was dropping frames at a serious rate (60 percent plus). eventually after a number of tries it settled itself out and I didn't lose any frames or have any problems for the last 6 hours of the stream, I chalked it up to Twitch having problems on their end. Then today the same problem, and it has persisted. I'm getting an encoding overloaded error message even though my computer is at 45% CPU usage, which makes no sense to me but I'm no expert.
As for specifics, I'm streaming Cities:skylines, I haven't changed anything in regards to the game or its settings. I haven't changed anything inside OBS in over a month. But out of nowhere these problems have occurred. I am running an i7 6700K at 4.0GHz, with a GTX 1070 and 16GB of RAM.
Like I said, I've been streaming this game with the same OBS settings with this computer for weeks with no problems, and now I'm having serious problems.
Please Help.
