Hello,
I have a peculiar problem and would just like to understand it and get to the bottom of what's happening exactly.
I'm trying to record Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition v. 1.3. and the cursor bugs out in the recording (but not in game) like this: https://youtu.be/Ulb2o0gIjl8?t=26m1s
There's a distortion kind of below the cursor sometimes after doing some inventory stuff, where the cursor changes shape and size (the item icons become a little smaller and they become the cursor while "picked up").
This is when using "game capture" and having the "hardware mouse cursor" enabled in the game. With the "hardware cursor" setting disabled, the cursor becomes less smooth, but doesn't bug out, presumably because the items in the inventory don't change size when picked up.
I've also noticed that when playing in windowed mode and using the "capture window" OBS option to record, the problem doesn't appear when having the "hardware cursor" option enabled, but the game isn't really playable like that (you can't scroll the screen with your mouse being the biggest problem + some fonts change) and the cursor appears really small on the recording (but not in game) and might be more difficult to see.
I can record with the "hardware cursor" setting disabled and having the less smooth, bigger cursor (which is what I've been doing for the newest couple of episodes) but just not KNOWING what's going on is bothering me. I've tweaked with a lot of OBS settings, but I'm not knowledgeable enough to tweak nVidia control panel stuff or some more advanced options elsewhere.
Please, if anyone has any clues or ideas, please share them with me. I would really like to understand what is the cause of the problem.
I'm running Windows 10 and provide my last OBS log, if that's any help. I have the newest version drivers.
