Problem with recorded audio only

I'm working on creating a vdieo for my youtube channel. I'm on Mac Ventura 13.4.1 on an M1 Powerbook. I'm using OBS 29.1.3. I have created six scenes for the video.

The first one is me doing the intro. The second scene is a Youtube video (using Browser Source) of an interview with the artist. The third scene is a Youtube video of the artist performing.

The fourth scene is Youtube video of a remix by a different artist. The fifth and sixth scenes are the same with two other artists.

As you can see, in each of the scenes that uses a browser, I also have a insert in the upper left-hand corner of me talking through my mic.

When I create a test recording, the volume is fine in my headphones when I'm creating the recording. However, the volume in the 4th, 5th, and 6th scenes is too low in the recorded mp4 but only for the browser sources. I am using the same Audio Input Capture and Audio Output Capture for all six scenes. I specifically tested to see if my mic volume was lower, and it was not. The only volume that's lower is the volume of the browser sources. But the volume of the browser sources in Scenes 2 and 3 is normal.

I created a separate Autio Output Capture for the 4th scene and set the gain higher (using a filter) but that had no effect on the recorded volume.

I was surprised to find that the volume was lower in the last three scenes, and I have no idea why that would be the case. If anyone has any suggestions, I would appreciate it. I really don't want to create a video with diminished volume in some parts of it.

As I continue to research this problem, I've noted a difference between the 2nd & 3rd scenes and the 4th, 5th, and 6th scenes. I discovered that Audio Output Capture was not needed in any of the scenes, so I deleted that. Then, as I continued to investigate, I found that scenes 2 and 3 have the browser set to control audio with OBS, and scenes 4, 5, & 6 did not. So, I enabled it. Once I did that AND enabled Monitor and Output on the browsers, I had good sound in preview and in record.

So, I figured out the solution. Hopefully, this will help others in their efforts to get good sound in recordings.
