Question / Help Problem with fonts

Hi guys, I´m currently migrating my project from OBS classic to OBS studio and I ran into a problem with special fonts I'm using.

I used font forge to create a special font where varios symbol characters were replaced with different glyphs so I could mix icons in with my text on the fly.
Now in OBS Classic this font works fine.
However when I use the font in OBS studio it suddenly finds the original glyphs that should have been eliminated from the font file.
To make this even weirder, whilst I am in the select font dialog, I can type the symbols in question into the "Sample" box and it displays the glyphs I want. However once i am back to the Properties for the text source if I type the same symbol the original symbol comes out.
Anyway thought I'd See if anyone else found stuff like this and had a solution.

Just to let folks know
After posting this I decided to try and create a new font from scratch importing my icons, and then importing the rest of the characters from the base font into the new blank font. This solved the issue.
So it just leaves a peculiar bug where for some reason OBS studio was finding an old glyph for a character that should have been removed from the font but I guess stayed in there in some hidden way.

Ok one last post on this subject. I discovered that in fact OBS was using the "style" property to find the glyphs from a different font. The question is then why did OBS prefer to get a glyph from a completely different font instead of just displaying the glyph in the font.
