I have set everything according to this tutorial

So the problem is
System preferences -> sound -> output
and I choose the 'multi output devices'
( that I created in 'audio midi setup' ),
youtube video just stops and won't play.
Even any video file that's on my computer.
as soon as I select my audio interface as the output, evrything comes back to normal.
Is this some kind of privacy setting issue?
