My primary music making system is on a Mac. I'm trying to record on a Windows 11 machine on my network.
The Win11 machine has OBS, the USB camera, and an old recording interface (Roland Octacapture).
I figured the easiest way to control the whole thing is from the Mac using Remote Desktop. But when I remote in, the Win11 machine acts as if there''s no sound card. So I have to switch my monitor, use a diff keyboard, etc to get OBS to see it's audio and then record.
I don't need to monitor the audio from the Win 11 machine. I just need to see that the meters aren't peaking and it's OK.
I know this is probably more of a Microsoft question but perhaps someone knows why Remote Desktop is such a PIA with Audio.
Thx
