Question / Help Problem after updating to 20.1.0

Hi,

I downloaded the newest update for OBS just a few minutes ago. When I try to record now it says "Starting the output failed. Please check log for details"

I really need some help quickly because I am working through a different issue with my editing software and really don't need this to become a big issue too.

What happens if you change your recording output mode to simple and quality to indistinguishable?

Looks like NVENC isn't too happy about something. Try using a different encoder and see if it works.

Please try updating your NVIDIA drivers. It's possible that you were on an older version. The functions for nvenc were updated this patch, which could be causing conflict with older drivers.

changeing it to x264 worked for me, but I'd prefer to use my nvenc

Hello,

I just update OBS and drivers to the latest

I recorded with NVENC to test and everything seems ok but i get this line in the log:

warning: Using global_quality with nvenc is deprecated. Use qp instead.

is that ok?
