Thanks man your a life saver.
When you use x264 encoder you can change the bitrate and it just seems easier to do. When I try to transfer my settings to the newest version it doesn't have the same quality. In what ways does 0.13.4 seem better?
Tell me what settings in the newest version I should use then. tbh its difficult for me to find the perfect settings in the newest one. But I want to capture multiple audio tracks because when I edit my videos my microphone is a little too quiet.I have to assume you're doing something terribly wrong, this explanation makes no sense.
I am recording. In 0.13.x there is a bitrate, while in 0.14.2 there is a CBR, CRF, VBR, etc. I want the best quality that is possible without lag. When I use 0.14.2 there is a stutter when I use any of the CRF values. I'm very confused as to how it works. What exactly can't you find in 0.14.2 that you were using in 0.13.4? Are you trying to stream or record?
Then how exactly do I get 2 or more audio tracks? If you want the best quality possible with the lowest amount of lag, use the CURRENT version of studio, simple output mode, indistinguishable recording quality, software low cpu use encoder.
They have to be advanced settings?
So how do the cpu usage settings work? Do they have to either be superfast or Ultrafast? In order to use multitrack audio, yes they do
Found the solution! The reason the new version lags a little is because I f OBS and the game are on seperate monitors with different refresh rates, they give 2 signals that do not go well with each other and they cause lag spikes. So when you record either have OBS on the same monitor you are recording on, or one with the same refresh rate!If you're recording, you should be using the crf-based bitrate selection (custom buffer of 0, crf of 15) and if your system is having performance issues recording you will likely need to use ultrafast.
