Question / Help Preview/Stream/Record freezes

[Fiscon]

If I leave the preview running eventually it'll freeze, same with Stream and record. Stream happens rather fast and Record happens within 30 minutes. I believe it is because my settings are out of whack but they were the same as always and I just can't figure it out.

In addition to all that I'll pause the recording or stream and it just says "Stopping" after closing it with the X I'll open task manager to find it still running in the background.

The two logs are below.

I only see one log in the second post. Please provide your log files by either using OBS Studio built-in upload feature or by posting attachments instead of pasting them directly into your post. The upload UI sometimes doesn't show that the upload has completed, but just submit the post a little bit after selecting the files and they should still attach.

The log file that I can see here doesn't show anything out of the ordinary.

Log files are always incomplete when OBS is freezing on Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, mainly when VRAM on the GPU is low because it can't even provide a stream/recording attempt.

Fiscon, try uninstalling KB3189866 as a temporarily solution and see if it still happens. Otherwise, reduce the VRAM usage by lowering the texture quality in the games.

No, they're not always incomplete. A complete log would have more information, such as skipped/lagged/dropped frames, if a capture device failed mid session, if settings were changed, etc. Though, terminating OBS Studio early will leave out the "Recording Stop" and "Streaming Stop" log entries, along with the info that comes with them.

Also, this log doesn't have the typical "device_texture_create (D3D11): Failed to create 2D texture (887A0005)" error that is so prominent in issue reports from Windows 10 Version 1607 Build 14393. Instead, it has this:

Bold emphasis mine. Does it work without issue if your camera is not present in the Scene Collection (not just the scene, but the entire Scene Collection)? Does it work without issue if your camera is disconnected from your computer?

I apologies for the delay I was testing the removal of the patch in regards to the update on Windows 10. I was never able to properly shutdown OBS studio. I always had to go into task manager to close it out. OBS Studio works like normal now o.o
