Preview shows video but Program is a black screen

I screen recorded two hours of footage thinking everything would be fine. After I hit stop recording I went to check the video footage right after, as I always do. My 2 hours of footage was a black screen??? How was that possible?? I have the scene marked and I also had game capture under scenes. The game capture was in the, "capture specific window" mode and I furthermore selected the window I wanted to share, but for some reason in Studio Mode, the Preview showed what I was recording, but the Program side was still a black screen? (I tired again, and now it works) My question now however is there a way to salvage my 2 hour footage?

Probably you didn't use the Transition button to push the preview side live. Whatever's in the program side is what's live to your recording or your stream.
