Question / Help Preview off = OBS stops sending bitrate at random times

Hi,

when i take my preview off, obs will silently stop sending bitrate. if i click stop streaming when that happens, obs just crashes.
with preview on my cpu slowly increases from 3-15% and then my pc crashes.

i have 3 logfiles when that happend.

cant use the upload file function so i ll just add the logfile links obs gives me.

None of those logs show it happening.

hey,

thanks for responding. i feel like obs doesnt produce a correct logfile when this happens. none of them state that i stop streaming. but when i created them the bitrate was 0 and when i clicked stop streaming obs just crashes.
do u think it would be better to stream, let it crash and then creat the last logfile?

If obs just crashes, provide the crashlog.

well it just freezes kinda. after i click stop streaming it crashes. how can i creat a crashlog?

It's created automatically when obs actually crashes. Freezing isn't a crash.

What internet security software do you have installed?

avira free version + windows firewall
with obs classic i dont have these problems btw, but i cant add the browser source

If your PC is crashing then you have a system issue to address and you can worry about OBS later.

my pc is fine. the thing is: preview on = cpu usage increases slowly from about 2 to 15 or more % and then my pc crashes
preview off = stable 2% cpu but sudden stop of sending bitrate

i dont have the problem with obs classic + preview on. but i cant add browser source and i need that

OBS can't directly crash your system. It can trigger other issues that result in a system crash. OBS Classic and OBS Studio are entirely different programs and it's completely possible that one brings the issue to the surface while the other doesn't.

it doesnt directly crash my pc, when im at 15-18% cpu usage after 2 h of streaming with preview on and i want to stop streaming for example i get a freeze on my system and then i have to restart it
have u never heard of a similar problem?

if we dont find a resolution for this problem, maybe u guys can tell me why i cant add the browser source plugin to obs classic? i have downloaded the correct bit version and extracted it in the correct folder but it just doesnt show up in obs classic

OBS Classic already comes with the CLR Browser Source plugin, trying to manually install a severely outdated version of it over the existing one is probably breaking things.
