Hi,
I am capturing an IP camera feed over RTSP by using OSB Studio. The OSB Preview is laggy and distorted time to time. I tested OSB on 1 Mac (OSX El Capitan) and 3 windows computers (2ofwindows are Win10-1607 and 1 windows is Win10-1511). I am having the same problem on all of these computers. I thought maybe my network or camera might be causing this problem but VLC and wirecast has no lag or distortion on the same network and camera. Please advise.

Here is my log

Hi,
I solved my problem. The problem was using a weak intel HD graphic card. I tested OBS on a computer with a decent GPU and now my preview and also stream are perfect. Thanks for the developers for this great application.

I am trying to figure out how to capture an IP camera feed over RTSP with OSB Studio.
I can't find a way to connect to an IP camera in OSB Studio.
Would you please share how you got this to work?
Thanks!

Hi Chris,
IP Cameras use RTSP protocol for communication. So, you need your cameras rtsp url. Rtsp url differs based on camera brand and model. You can find out your url by visiting the following link.
http://www.soleratec.com/support/rtsp/rtsp_listing

I use sony camera and my url format is like below:
rtsp://username:password@192.168.1.100/media/video1

After you have your rtsp url. Add your ip camera in sources section and choose Media Source.
Uncheck "local file" checkbox
Type your rtsp url in the "Inbox" section, hit ok.

The preview of your ip camera will come to display in a few seconds.

Hi there,

I'm having kind of the same problem. I found out my OBS Studio is lagging whenever I have my StreamLabs application open. It freezes/ lags in the preview, and when live streaming. By closing the application (StreamLabs) it stops my OBS from lagging.

My problem is I also get random crashes with my OBS Studio. I used to have version 16.5 but a friend had me roll back to 16.2... Which didn't help, I still have the problem :(

This is the log file: https://gist.github.com/f638b7ba7853f4e8baa150d831c6f6ac

I'm going to try and attach a file that is the OBS error report of the most recent crash.

Thanks for the help,

Snow
