Pre fader multi-track audio recording possible?

Dear all,

Brief case description: for the streaming of hybrid lectures with OBS in youtube or Webex, I use a lavalier microphone for my audio and a presonus usb microphone for the surrounding audio (e.g. to "capture" the student questions - and applause ;). The signal of the surrounding audio is ducked by the lavalier microphone (using the sidechain compression filter in OBS). In other words: as long as I speak, the surrounding audio is muted. All signals are recorded on separate audio tracks, therefore I am able to process the audio in post using a DAW to further improve the audio signal.
At present, the audio tracks contain the post-fader audio. In other words, for example the recording of the surrounding contains the ducked signal. Recordings in audio equipment like the zoom L-8 contain the audio out signal (master signal) post fader, but all other tracks are recorded pre-fader (in other words the raw audio in signals).

Question: is there a possibility to set the multi-track recording of audio signals pre-fader?

If the response is no, I might send a request to include this possibility. The simple reason is, that the idea of recording to separate tracks (at least in my perception) is to allow further processing in post. Although the audio possibilities of OBS - especially in a live setting - are fantastic, using a DAW will always outperform OBS in post. In my special case, the problem is that with ducking you might loose information which is acceptable in a live setting, but cannot be "rescued" in post, if the pre-fader / pre-filter signal is not available.

Thanks a lot :)
Joe
