Possible encoding overload after upgrading GPU

Hey, I just upgraded from a GTX 1080 to a RTX 3090 and the new card is doing an amazing job, apart from recording.

I use to record 1080p 120fps with P7 setting and it was working great, when upgrading my gpu, I've also swapped my screen to a 1440p one.

Since then I can't make it work properly, and I don't believe that 1440p 120fps is that much demanding. With P5 setting I have "Video Encode" percentage at around 70%, anything above will make it go 99%. And so all my recordings look like slideshows.

I just wanna know if I'm completly delusional and I can't hit that res and fps or something is wrong. I'm pretty sure even my beloved 1080 can run it without any issue. Please help :c

Specs:
ASUS Prime X570P
Ryzen 7 5700X3D
RTX 3090 MSI GAMING X TRIO
32gb RAM 3600mhz

Notes:
- Recording are saved on a capable SSD
- I hit that 99% Video Encode even on desktop, no games launched
- I only use replay buffer
- Running OBS in safe mode has the same issue
- I always used NVCleanInstall to install all my GPU Drivers

I've attached a GPU-Z screenshot and one OBS log with P5 setting, another with P7.

Use a lower preset than P5, you can down to P1. If you're recording and not streaming, this will just result in slightly bigger file size (a few percent, if noticeable at all) but not really different quality. 120 fps at 2560x1440 is quite a challenge for the encoder.

for some reason, setting it to P1 does this...

a few seconds in 40% and then 61-62%, while taking screenshots it drops back to 40% then back at +60%
