Bug Report Possible bug with newest update?

Since my most recent update I have a strange problem. When I stream, then stop a stream, then start a stream again OBS hangs up very strangely. The button for Start/Stop a stream turns one Opaque color (as though its stuck between displaying Start/Stop Stream) and the stream doesn't actually connect anywhere. Then I have to go through Task Manager and end the program, before I can start over again. I always have sucess the first time, but subsequently it freezes.

Does this error happen when you try streaming to any other service? (i.e. twitch or youtube)

This appears to be a long standing issue, going waaaaaay back.

interestingly enough, when I just go straight to YouTube and skip Castr.io it seems to work just fine. I kind of need Castr though, so any thoughts on a solution?

This looks like a regression in some part of the RTMP updates. Would you be able to share a test key for Castr?

I was able to reproduce and figure out the issue, but the fix is not a simple as expected if we want to maintain thread safety. This is being tracked at https://github.com/obsproject/obs-studio/issues/2865 and should be fixed by the time the next release comes around.
