Are there concise, comprehensive instructions somewhere to do this? I've tried several of the solutions posted by third parties online, as the term "portrait" produces no results within this site's search function.

Set base resolution to required value.
e.g. 1080x1920
If you have source in 1920x1080, must resize some parts, some crop.
