I have found and successfully created a portable version of OSB for windows that can save settings and run from a USB stick,.Now, I need to do the same on a USB and run with OSX, where my settings are read and written to the same USB and not to the local library.

can any one help?

for this, you need to install the app directly to the USB. Then drag the icon from the USB folder to your dock. As long as it's plugged in it will launch. I use this method with iTunes, Photos and a few other programs running them off my time capsule connected via ethernet. Load times may be a tad slower depending on your connection.

I would make sure all obs is uninstalled on your mac before trying to launch from the usb.

Yes . but you see the settings and profiles gets stored locally on the mac - not on the actual USB stick. So when using the stick on any osx system, the settings are not available. You will will have to import them - which is a workaround of course, but not portable in that sense
