Popping in Audio Only in Stream

Hello OBS Community.

I've been broadcasting Sunday morning services for the past 4 months or so and everything has gone very well. Video good, audio good (or great).

This past Sunday, the stream had pops and clicks in it, about every 1-2 seconds, but not "rhythmic"- just of that basic occurrence.

In my monitor headset, everything sounded fine. But the output stream on Facebook has the pops and clicks.

What could cause this? What can I do (if anything) to mitigate in the future? Could this be due to problems with the internet connection? I did notice that morning that the stream took a long time to start (through restream.io).

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

- Dave

ps: I'm using OBS Studio 25.0.8 (64 Bit) on a Dell Laptop with 16 GB RAM, Intel Core i7 running at 1.90 GHz. (Windows 10 Pro).

No Solution, but I am seeing the same issue in OBS 26.0.2. Audio interface is an M-Audio C600, video comes in on BMD SDI PCI card. PC is Dell Optiplex 790DT, Windows 10, shows less than 20% utilization during streaming at 30fps. The audio on the local recording and on FaceBook(r) has the same symptoms described in the original post. Artifacts are present when recording audio with no video (camera disconnected) in OBS. I've tried adjusting audio sample rates to no avail. No artifacts when using other recording software (audacity). Any ideas for next steps in troubleshooting?

I have a similar problem. My audio-only glitches are occurring every 1.5 to 3 minutes. But they're ruining otherwise perfect music performance live stream recordings.

I'm happy to consider any and all advice.

We've been struggling with audio glitches for weeks on our church streaming system that I developed. We have an Atem Mini as the source of both audio and video. The audio glitches but the video doesn't. Computer is an i7 4790 based Dell. Streaming out to Facebook. I'm using the OBS compressor and limiter filters and also the TAL reverb module. We were also recording the stream to disk. The recording (to .mkv) I recently stopped and so, it seems, the audio glitches. Hmm? It doesn't look like the performance meters are showing system stress but possibly the audio processing is on an overworked thread? I'm now wondering how much the reverb module is affecting things. The stream sounds pretty dry without it.

OP, you need to pick a Sample Rate & set everything to the same. Right now OBS is operating @ 44k, the Behringer is @ 48k & it's also showing 192k?

Update OBS

Windows 1903 is near EOL, better think about updating soon.

Disable Game DVR in Windows.

Run OBS as Admin, the small amount of rendering lag should be eliminated.
