Hello everyone and thank you for your investment in this forum.

Before exposing my problem to you, here is my streaming configuration:

- ROG I74007HQ 2.4 Ghz laptop; Nvidia GTX770M graphics card
- Analog console YAMAHA MG12XU
- AVERMEDIA LGX GC550 external video capture card for PS4 stream capture
- WEBCAM logitech C920
- STREAM DECK

On the one hand, I have two microphones connected to my analog console in XLR, I recover the sound via USB on my laptop with OBS Studio software. On the other hand, I have a PS4 connected to the AVERMEDIA LGX capture card, I recover the audio / video signal in USB on my PC via OBS also. The webcam and the stream deck are also connected via USB and retrieved from OBS.

My problem: Pops and intermittent clicks appear on the Yamaha output in OBS only when the AVERMEDIA capture card is connected. It looks like it is causing interference. I do not know what caused this interference. My Yamaha drivers and the AVERMEDIA capture card are up to date. I am referenced in 48Khz on OBS and Yamaha. I point out that in my previous configuration, I had a Zoom H6 instead of the Yamaha and the problem did not occur. When I unplug the AVERMEDIA LGX, the clicks and pops disappear. Looks like the two sounds (from LGX and Yamaha) are in conflict. I cannot take the sound from the LGX to get it into the Yamaha console and thus only have one audio source.

I tried to plug the Yamaha console into a separate outlet in case it was a power problem but it wasn't.
I tried to downgrade my Yamaha and LGX drivers but that didn't solve the problem.
The Yamaha works well on other software such as TeamSpeak or Discord in USB.

For one of my hypotheses not yet tested, I was thinking of buying a Scarlet 2i2 in order to connect the outputs of the Yamaha stereo LR in jack 6.35 to the Scarlet 2i2 to recover the sound of the Scarlet on OBS via USB.

My Log File and error are attached

Another hypothesis, I have a thunderbolt port. I was thinking of buying a USB dock for this port in order to connect the Yamaha or the LGX to isolate one of the two devices on another type of port. What do you think ?

Do you know what could create this problem? I'm running out of solutions ...

Yamaha's documentation is lackluster as usual... Does that mixer use ASIO? If so, you will probably need to install the ASIO plugin for OBS. If that doesn't immediately fix the problem, then I would try increasing your buffer size to see if that at least helps alleviate the issue.

Ideally, you should see if you can isolate your mixer to its own USB controller given your symptoms. It does surprise me though that it's apparently having conflicts with your capture card, since USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 devices use separate buckets for available bandwidth (different physical pins, even).

Thank you for your feedback and your advice. my console is fine with a Steinberg ASIO driver. I take the test and I come back to tell you the result.

Question what do you mean by isolated the USB port of my MG12XU. what method could you advise me? Thank you in advance for your answer.

I come back to give info on my problem. Unfortunately the click noise / pop noise problem is the same. On the other hand I realized that by increasing the buffer on my ASIO driver steinberg the problem returned less often.

Do you have a solution to enlarge my MG12XU buffer? my driver which is provided with does not offer me the possibility of reaching 2048 sample (48msec). I think I would need at least 5500 sample (120msec) my PC can't keep up otherwise. Thank you in advance if you read my message

I had the same issue with my Focusrite Pro 40 sapphire interface. After many months trying to solve without any success, I had to split the tasks among two different machines. Now, one is dedicated to record audio ( DAW ), and another one only for streaming and record video. I use a small interface to transport the sound from one computer to the other. It looks like in my case, the problem is due to excessive subsystem overload. I use 3 capture cards, 2 webcams, and this overloads USB 2 and 3 ports. So, splitting the tasks, I got to solve, and both work fine now.

The OBS asio plugin is separate from your Steinberg ASIO drivers -- the OBS asio plugin exists specifically to allow OBS to better recognize and behave well with ASIO devices.

By "isolate" for USB, I mean having your MG12XU as the only connected device on a specific host controller. Run the USBView application that I linked, and you'll be able to see the entire device tree for all usb devices connected to your system. That will let you determine which USB ports are actually connected together, and which ones are independent from the rest.

Thank you for your advice I test all this and I tell you. I can be found another track on my side if not, one hard drive is an hdd 5400tr do you think that if I switch to SSD it could improve the click?

I come back to my subject to bring my solution of my situation. After a lot of research and testing, my laptop gaming is 6 years old and my graphics card is a GTX 770M. the latest nvidia drivers posed a conflict. since I downgrade the graphics driver no more worries. by doing CPU and GPU consumption tests, my PC being old despite the installation of an SSD I am almost at the limit of power cpu and GPU when I use it hence the "Crack sound". If this is a lead for people with the same type of problem.

I think that the best will be, in time, to go to a new pc with a enough configuration to give more power to OBS.

I hope this will help where research leads for people in a similar problem Good luck and thanks for the help
