I have recently moved to Linux
I initially installed OBS via a package, but I couldn't see how to install plugins. There was no .config/obs-studio folder
So I wiped the install and reinstalled Linux from scratch
I installed OBS via the terminal, there was a .config/Obs-studio folder
I created a plugins sub folder and moved the plugins there. Everything worked fine
Trying to install streamer.bot screwed everything up - even checking for updates failed
So I wiped the install and reinstalled Linux from scratch
Reinstalled OBS from the terminal, .config/obs-studio is there. I repeated what I did before but it can't see any plugins
Scale to sound was installed by a .DEB file. I don't know why it works, but at least something does!
1-I download a zip file or a tar.gz file if there's no zip
2-I unzip the zip file
3-I choose the 22.04 tar.gz file and extract the folder from there
4-I move the extracted folder to the plugins sub folder in .config/obs-studio
I must be doing something stupid
The analyzer shows that my old laptop is below spec, but it runs ok. I'm running Linux here until I'm confident enough to put it on my main PC
