I have an application that creates an image from template and database records for scoreboard overlay. Every n seconds it retrieves the latest score and updates the PNG image. I used to use an over-complicated plugin for Windows Media Encoder that refreshed that image and overlaid it on my video stream. I used to stream finals back in the day when we needed our own media server and high data costs. Running costs were prohibitive for number of viewers I got.
But now that I have found OBS and YouTube are streaming for free my interest is rekindled.
I have overlaid the PNG in OBS using the "Image source" which unfortunately is static. What I need to do is refresh that image every 1-5 seconds. I have searched the OBS plugins available but found nothing like it.
If anyone can steer me towards one that will do the job, or is prepared to create such a thing for lucre, please let me know.
