So this is basically what is happening. I start the stream, and I run OBS as admin. I open FF14. I have OBS on my left monitor and FF14 on my right. When I start playing FF14 while I stream, I notice things like my chat and activity feed in OBS just disappearing, like blacking out/graying out. Also, anything involving browser source freezes or disappears from the screen. The stream is running fine, with no dropped frames (network). Also, anything animated or scroll-wise, like an animated emote or a scroll that shows the number of people that donated bits, is stuttering/freezing and then continues to move.
Specs:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Motherboard: MSI B550-A PRO
- RAM: XPG SPECTRIX D50 RGB 3600 (2x8GB)
- GPU: GIGABYTE GeForece GTX 1660 Ti
My normal setup was w10 + obs 27.2.4 (had NO issues). Had to update to W11. I'm just trying to figure out why this is all happening. Is it W11? Is it OBS? Is it both? What can I do to fix this? I never had these issues before, so it's a bit strange.
Side note: Yes, I know I'm in an old version of OBS, which is 27.2.4. I've had no issues till now, of course, but I've kind of neglected to update to any of the newer versions because there are even more issues that are bound to happen, like when I updated to 30.1.2. I'm more into having stable streams than having some fancy features I might not even use or that might cost me many more issues.
