I have just started live streaming to twitch using OBS on my macbook pro. Currently my face cam is working great there is no lag but the game I am capturing is supper choppy. Is there some way of fixing that?

Alright so I'm new to all this and I don't really know what you are asking me for. When I look at the "about this mac" tab is says my memory is 8 GB 1600 MGz DDR3 and it says Graphics Intel Iris 1536 MB does that answer the question? Sorry...What is the graphics card and ram in your current Macbook? I had 4 GBs of Ram recently with this issue. After upgrading to 8 it got a bit better.

What capture mode are you using? If it's display capture, for example, FPS tends to suffer. There's a specific Game Capture mode that's designed for game use.

Try the Game Capture mode if you're streaming a game, you'll get better FPS which will eliminate the choppiness.
