[I need help cuz im stupid]

I need help with obs, when i record a minecraft video the video keeps lagging even tho my games FPS is smooth and it is 60 FPS and when i look at the recording it is smooth first few seconds but later it starts lagging so hard it goes to like 1 FPS what sohuld i do. If you need my PC specs they are: CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.9GHZ (4.2GHZ), 16GB of RAM and Graphics Card AMD Radeon 580 RX.
Edit: I also use the mkv format.

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...

real-time video encoding is VERY computationally demanding.
I recommend monitoring hardware resource (CPU, GPU, RAM, etc) utilization to see if your system is being maxed out with your settings [Task manager’s Performance tab and/or Resource Monitor]
