On both my Windows and (now main) Ubuntu machine, I only used OBS Studio 23.2.1 because anything beyond that has been absolutely terrible and problem-ridden. Well, Ubuntu auto-updated on my Ubuntu machine recently, and after thinking something was wrong with my setup, NOPE. OBS.
it appears the only way to install this far superior, older software is via source code and I have no idea how to do that. General Ubuntu tutorials don't help in this case, and for installation help, I'm sent to a nonsense OBS page that does not help with installing this far superior, 2019 software.
I'd appreciate any help greatly. Please help me go back in time, to a better time. Thanks, and cheers.
