Hi guys. With OBS in studio mode, in Settings > Audio, I can't change the Khz from 44.1 to 48. It's like it has been blanked out, similar to a trial version where you would only be allowed to use certain properties on the program. It is there I just can't use/change it. Please tell me how I can fix this.
I can't send a log file here because the system I'm having the problem with is in a church. We're using it to stream the service every Sunday, and that is really the only time I can get access to the PC. We're having a few problems but I'd like to sort them out one at a time starting with this one.
Please help. I have no idea how this whole thing works. Thanks!

OK I will try this tomorrow when I get accesss to the PC but I don't think this is the solution as I can change all other settings. It's just like that setting is locked.
I'll post again tomorrow with a result. Thank you.

AS the guys above have said. This option is only ever greyed out if you're actively outputting from OBS.

I.E you're currently recording / streaming or you have an NDI source active

Tools > NDI Output Settings > Untick both

There's no need to disconnect things, it'll only be one of the above 3.

Ok Thanks. I could probably get access again on Thursday to try again. I will come back with a result as soon as I can.
As you can tell I really need your help.
Thank you again for your patience.

Hello again. Managed to get access today and reset the audio setting to 48Khz. It was as you all said, turn the NDI off. I thought if I switched NDI off that would do. Didn't realise there was a setting in OBS so thank you all. That problem is now solved, which solved my video and audio problems. So great job guys. I'm really new to this so please look out for me as I might very well be back with more questions.
Thank you!
And yes I did already stop recording to mp4. We're streaming to You Tube. We don't need a copy.

THANK YOU! I have been fighting with my OBS for a week, it was bound to a IP that no longer existed on my PC, i was editing profile files, i almost deleted the entire program. but then i came across this. and i did use a NDI resource a while ago. but no more. Thank you!

But what if I've done all those things, plus turned off all plugins in tools and it still doesn't work?
Remove all the plugins so you end up with a clean OBS Studio installation. Make sure to contact the plugin creators/mantainers on how to completelly remove the plugins.
Now, uninstall and reintall OBS, just in case. Test if you can access the settings. If so, start installing one by one of the plugins and test each time to check wich of this plugins is causing the issue. Once identified, remove it or ask the creator to fix it.

@VGBC_P3rs0na other method is to make custom script and run it. The script will print to the log file of OBS all program outputs and its current states.
See for details:
