Please Help, audio levels look fine, but come out faint

Windows 10, using mainly Streamlabs OBS, but problem exists in normal, too. Been using the same way for weeks/months, but for some reason this time it's acting weird.
So to describe it, the levels LOOK fine, well in the yellow even sometimes peaking in red, but when listened back it's quieter than a gnat. It sounds almost like an unpowered condenser mic, but these are lapel mics that work fine base.

Tried adding on gain, still quiet, more gain, up to ~25db (near max) of gain. Sure, you could hear it now (barely), but it sounded like my mics were eaten by an eldritch monster with how extreme the clipping was.

I tried checking how Windows picked it up. Opened Voice Recorder, it was totally fine. Came out loud and clear, as OBS was doing not long ago, so it's not a mic problem. Turned off the "exclusive mode" settings in Windows. That changed nothing.

Uninstall -> Reinstall did nothing and changing mics did nothing.
I'm at my wits end so I'm posting this around various places that might be able to help.

tl;dr Gain doesn't help, that just makes it start clipping, tried uninstall and reinstall, nothing, and windows recording is totally fine. It has to be centered around OBS and SLOBS to my knowledge (weird thing is it's happening in both).

So, it's seems it might have either been that the video player I used to listen to the recordings had its volume down, or it just fixed itself. Not sure which, but it seems normal again. Thanks for trying to help!
