So I produced my first podcast for my client and while it was a success I am looking to expand the capabilities of what I can bring to their future podcasts for a higher quality.
The one thing I would like to add in is for them to be able to hear the music I play in the background at the start of the podcast so they know when to start speaking when the music starts to fade instead of hand waving over our Zoom conference as I have my mic on mute for the two ladies to speak during the podcast. I do have Voicemeeter installed but currently not using as I had very little setup time when I was contracted. I also installed the virtual cable inputs as well but like the software, I don't use them yet.
I capture their webcams over the Zoom session as all casters and myself are in different parts of the country. In OBS I mute my mic so that I can come in during the podcast and I am capturing the audio from my desktop to send out to the audience to hear them speak while watching on her YouTube channel.
What is the best way to achieve having them able to hear the music (or virtual soundboard) in their headphones on their end with the audience at the same time without hearing themselves as they talk as it could distract them during the live and recording sessions? Since each caster (only 2) just needs to hear the music, soundboard, and their partner to react to.
