I recently did a fresh install of Fedora 34 KDE, which switched to PipeWire. I was previously on Fedora 33 KDE running PulseAudio.
I just run my headphones from line-out, so system volume is set at 30%. This worked in F33 since OBS was getting the sound independent of system volume as expected.
My problem in F34 is the desktop audio in OBS is affected by system volume. At my 30%, the db meter in OBS tops out around -35 and recordings are basically inaudible.
If I set system volume to 100%, the db meter settles in to expected ranges and the volume in recordings sounds as expected when played back at my normal 30%.
