Pinnacle/Dazzle DVC100 on 2020 MacBook Air (Apple M1)

I'm trying to import video from a DVD player onto my Mac using a DVC100 USB converter box.

I don't see it when adding as a source in OBS.

Any ideas?

Basically I need to get the video from the VCD that was created in the early 2000s on to my Mac or some other kind of digital storage.

Any help would be appreciated with this.

The DVC100 never got M1/ARM drivers from Pinnacle, so macOS just doesn't see it as a video device, which is why OBS can't find it. First check System Information > USB to see if the device even registers at all. For digitizing old VCD footage on M1, you'd want a UVC-compliant capture card (Elgato or even a generic $20 USB dongle) since those work without any drivers on modern macOS.
