We use OBS for Live Streaming our services at church. We have two cameras. One camera records with awesome color and brightness, the other is way too dark. I have tried to figure out how to change it, but have not been able. Can anyone help? Please be detailed and guide me like a child as I am new to this stuff ;)

What's the make and model of the camera with the dark image? It may be doing the best if can.

Hi - both cameras are the same, (I'm not quite sure of the make - but they cost $5000 so pretty good cameras) but the left one records very good lighting, and the right one records too dark. So I thought it might have to do something with the OBS settings. Thanks for your reply!

Hi - I am not sure of the make of the cameras, but they cost us $5000 so they are good cameras. The left camera records great color and brightness, but the right one is dark. So that's why I'm thinking it might be a setting in the OBS, but i don't know how to check dual cameras.

Is the lighting the same in the areas where the cameras are? If it is, then you may have a camera issue. Are the cameras powered by an external power source or are they PoE (power over ethernet)? Can you power cycle (reboot) the camera having issues?

Thanks for this reply. The cameras are situated with exactly the same lighting, one on the left, the other on the right of the sanctuary. They are powered by ethernet, but I will try what you suggest and reboot the camera (if I can figure out how to do that). But I was also wondering if there isn't a way to get into the OBS system and brighten one camera source and not the other. I have tried everything to discover how to do this but have not been successful. I am able to do this on my laptop version with the laptop camera through the filters, but cannot find the same thing on the cameras at church.

Since the cameras are powered by ethernet, simply disconnecting the ethernet cable from one end (camera or switch) will reboot the camera.

Yes, you could try playing with the camera settings in OBS, but it's starting to sound like you may have a camera issue.
