Question / Help Photoshop extension Coolorus not showing when using Window Capture

I'm using Window Capture to show Photoshop, but the extension (called Coolorus, it should show a color wheel where the black box is) doesn't show:

While if I just show Display Capture, it does like here, but I don't want to use this method because it's less convenient for what I do (hoping to make Window capture show it like this):

There's no way to have window capture pick up anything except for the main window. That's how it works. You have to use display capture if you need anything other than the base window layer.

The color picker is just an extension though - shouldn't the entirety of Photoshop be able to show as the main window without me having to resort to display capture?

Nope. Not even extra popups like layer properties show when using window capture. That's just how that capture method works -- you're capturing a specific window. Anything other than that window won't be captured.
