Question / Help Performance issues with Rocket League / Rainbow Six Siege

Hello my fellow Streamers,

I got this Problem a week ago and the solution was to disable "game mode" in the Windows 10 Settings.
Yesterday I streamed RL again. This time was different because I used the NVENC Codec. Every game is running smoothly with NVENC (League of Legends, H1Z1 KOTK, Trackmania). But in R6 and Rocket League it's horrible.

Ingame everything is perfectly fine but I see OBS Studio dropping down to 20FPS. When Streaming with x264 it is lagging too, but not this much (Example here | x264 Codec).

Log files attached, Computer specs in signature and example here (NVENC Codec | starting at 02:12:00).

Any ideas? And yes, game DVR is disabled.

Kind Regards
Maggi

Having the same issue with Rainbow 6 too.. On stream it actually looks fine, but on my screen it feels like I am getting about 30FPS (when my in game FPS is between 100 > 150

R6:S is very demanding, you need to limit game performance (enable vsync or the FPS cap, turn down some of the graphics settings, etc.) so your CPU/GPU don't get maxed out and there are enough resources for OBS to perform acceptably.

Hello Sapiens,

thanks for your reply. For R6 I'll give it a try! Thank you so far.

But what about Rocket League? I mean... this game doesn't need much performance... Is it worth anyway to try to set the max fps to 60?

Update:
After the big July Update for Rocket League the game is running absolutly smoothly on stream. Yesterday I've played several hours of Rocket League without a single FPS drop. INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't testet R6 yet with the suggested settings, but the RL problem is definitly solved!

Kind Regards
Maggi
