Question / Help Performance drop even when not recording / streaming

I want to record my Adobe Illustrator process, but I get performance drop the moment I open OBS app. (when I use pen tool mouse cursor noticeably lags behind) I tried to fiddle with settings, but didn't have success. When I record screen with native Quicktime screen recorder there is no performance loss at all. My machine is late 2019 Macbook Pro 16 inch, 64gb ram, 8gb gpu

OBS renders all the time it is open, not just when recording or streaming. OBS is a video compositor and switcher, functions that QuickTime player does not perform.

Include a log file if you have a problem: here's how

To upload a log file, go to the Help menu -> Log Files -> Upload current/last log file. The current log file is for the currently active running session. The last log file is for the last time you ran the program. We recommend always including it just in case.

Open OBS. Start an output session (streaming or recording). Observe your issue. Stop the output session. Upload the Current log without quitting OBS.
