I am going to make a huge post with my problem and everything I have tried. I appreciate anybody who has taken the time to read this and try to solve this with me as this has been driving me crazy no matter what PC specs I have and use, and even if I try recording using a second PC.
Here is a video example of my problem:
www.youtube.com
As you can see, if you watch this video on YouTube (or in VLC media player, windows media player, etc.) in full screen, it looks very choppy/laggy and it hurts my eyes personally.
Here is the log file that goes with the video above this I believe. Yes, game mode is NOT enabled, but it does not make a difference to my problem when enabled:
My goal is to have my videos look like this guy's YouTube video, here is an example of what I want my videos to look like:
www.youtube.com
As you may be able to see, this video is way more smooth, even if you watch it in full screen.
My PC specs are very similar to the PC specs that guy used for the second video, here they are:
GPU: GIGABYTE Eagle RTX 3070ti
CPU: Intel i7-11700 (non-K)
RAM: 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3200
STORAGE: 1 x 500 GB NVMe SSD, 1 x 400-500GB SATA SSD
(If you need more spec info, please let me know)
Here is some of the "possible solutions" I have tried (the ones I remember attempting):
- Toggling Windows 10 game mode/DVR settings on and off
- Changing Nvidia Control Panel and Inspector settings for performance
- Turning GSYNC on and off, could it be my monitor since I am running at 1440p @ 144hz?
- I have tried capping my game FPS to 120 FPS, I have at one point done the same for my monitor in Nvidia Control Panel, no difference.
- Running OBS as admin
^^ Anything simple you can think of, I have most likely tried. I just can't recall everything I have tried because I have had this issue for so long.
A question I do have is, could my monitor be causing this? I am running on a 1440p monitor right now with GSYNC enabled, should I go back to 1080p? My 1080p monitor has FreeSync/AdaptiveSync enabled, not GSYNC Compatible or whatever.. Could that make a difference?
I am so sick of this problem, if others can fix their OBS problems and get smooth quality, why can't I with an RTX 3070 ti/decent specs?
Any help is greatly appreciated, I may be able to tip the person who solves this for me if somebody ends up sharing a working solution.
Thanks.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
