Hi,
I am trying to abuse OBS to get a feature that I found nowhere else, and I'm part of the way, but not all the way there. This is my szenario:
In a medical environment, there is a prep room for surgery. It contains a PC with four display connectors. One connects a regular screen for this PC. The other three connect screens that are mounted to the wall in three different adjecent operating rooms. The goal is to show the surgeon a static picture like an X-ray or ultrasound that she can look at during the procedure.
Since this is just a screen in a different room, I can't physically see it from the PC that feeds it. I need a little picture-in-picture peek to position the image on the right screen.
After talking with every graphics card manufacturer, I installed OBS 30.2.2 and it lets me define a screen as a source. So I added three sources each correspoinding to one of my remote screens. The preview window does not change, however, as I toggle between the sources: I have to select the display on the drop-down-menue below the preview image to get that. There, however, it only shows the device name, and I see three identical names (monitor manufacturer and model), not the names of the rooms that I assigned to my sources.
Also, I might want to use the windowed multiview. But I don't understand how I can customize the layout of the window. Also all previews show the same screen.
Does anyone have an idea on how to optimize this or what alternative tool I can use to get what I need?
Thanks from Germany,
Ralph
