Question / Help PC freezing after 3 hours and 23 minutes of gameplay

So I'm relatively new to streaming and I'm streaming my speedruns of GTA San Andreas.

So yesterday at about 3 hours and 20 minutes in my run I noticed the connection to chat was lost. I minimized my game and checked to see that my internet connection was gone. I thought it was a DDOS or something so I stopped my stream and restarted my router. After it came back up I could still not connect to the internet so I decided to check my running tasks and I noticed that while my currently open programs were functioning fine, anything new I wanted to open did not open. Task manager not opening, alt tab not working, windows start button not working either. Everything I tried slowly froze my PC more and more so I had to do a restart by holding the power button on my PC case. It was late night so I went to sleep.

Today I tried streaming again and same place in my run the SAME thing happened - at around 3 hours 20 minutes I lost connection to my chat again only to find out my pc started freezing one more time. I had to do another hard reset to get my windows up and running again.

What could be the cause of this?

I've updated OBS to the newest version and ran the stream privately (on a brand new account without any game title so nobody could find the stream) for 3.5 more hours fucking around in the game observing CPU usage and core temperatures all the time. It never spiked to anything too high and seemed all fine. But I don't know if it was the OBS updating that fixed it, or was it not having any viewers or chatters that fixed it. One thing I did was change the scene to one with only the game and without on screen chat and split timer. I'm stoked.
