Any thoughts?
so actively monitoring temps during a stream and game? because if you are getting to 52c while gaming, I bet you are hitting 61c while streaming as well which is the max temp for that CPU.

crashing is a sign of instability so I wouldn't count out temps or even maybe not enough vcore for your CPU. incidentally, more vcore can cause higher temps.

http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Bulldozer/AMD-FX-Series FX-8150.html

some cpus will use more vcore than needed without overclock even, so I wouldn't rule out temps.

So since last update i've been struggling. I reformated my computer installed win 8.1 from win 7 ultimate 64bit. Installed all drivers from mobo to graphics and all windows updates. installed wow again set up obs and tried streaming. After 5 mins pc froze up and had to hard reboot once again. I am out of ideas trouble shotting this issue and out of clue of why this would happen. Temps don't even go higher then 50c on gpu or cpu.

here is the last report https://gist.github.com/8f69e17d4bf918533997

The log file shows FX-8150 is running at 3870 MHz, where this CPU should normally run at 3.6GHz or 3600 Mhz. Please remove your overclock if you have it on.

That could be a turbo speed. for his CPU, that will go up to 4.2GHz.

@Tdamm please dont bump within two hours. be patient.

if PC completely locks up, like freezes for good (might help to try and wait a freeze out) then that most of the time comes from voltages going to high or even could be a PSU issue.

I feel you need to stress test your PC with something like OCCT since it can usually find errors pretty soon.

Dping,
I installed OCCT last night and ran a test. i came back after an hour and a half and my pc was frozen. Is there a log file on from it?

No log but it does have a temp monitor that it puts in settings somewhere. maybe pictures if you want to see what happened prior to.. you're issue is either hardware, heat, or bios settings.

Maybe check the Mhz using using CPU-Z program, CPU should normally run at default frequency or lower with less then %5 of CPU load, less if AMD cool-n-quiet / intel speedstep is on.

Try reset to default for your motherboard's settings that might be controlling the CPU speed, the RAM settings, and other stuff that, if changed from default, may cause instability. Entering motherboard settings is normally done by pressing a button multiple times while computer is turning on. The button may be DEL, F2, or other button depends on motherboard.

i had my oc genie activated. that is why my MHz was higher then normal. I am at 3599.81 MHz atm. The only thing i have changed in my bios was my cpu fan speed.

you need to fix the stability issues with your PC prior to usings OBS to encode. OBS stresses components similar to a stress test like OCCT so the results you are having is from stability issues.

So i went in to my bios again Followed sam686 advice. I was like nah lets just try and stream and see how it goes. Ive been streaming an hour and 45 mins no dropped frames cpu 9% while streaming wow. Thank you Sam and Dping for your help.

For a check on it if you would like heres my stream http://www.twitch.tv/seanpennance
