Question / Help PC feed into MAC using Black Magic Mini Recorder

I'm attempting to capture my PC gaming via HDMI into Black Magic Mini Recorder into my iMac, setup for OBS. This works perfectly with an xb1 but I don't know what source to use for my PC, or whether I need to download software to make the Mac recognize the HDMI feed from the PC.

You need to have your PC set to a resolution and refresh rate the BlackMagic supports.

In this case, that is one of:

720p50, 720p59.94, 720p60, 1080PsF23.98, 1080p23.98, 1080PsF24, 1080p24, 1080PsF25, 1080p25, 1080PsF29.97, 1080p29.97, 1080PsF30, 1080p30, 1080i50, 1080i59.94 and 1080i60

So if your PC is set either to a resolution higher than 1080 or a refresh rate higher than 60, the BlackMagic will not see it.

Other than that, it's the same as xbox capture-- take output from your PC's graphics card via HDMI and plug it into the BlackMagic's input, just as you would with an xbox.
