Question / Help Pause Recording

Is there an option to 'pause'/'resume' a recording and if not, will one be included in Studio in the future?

I'm looking for this feature as well. I've used OBS for a while, not for live streaming, but simply recording to disk and this would be extremely helpful for my use. I only know of one other software that has a pause feature and I don't like it, and would rather use OBS instead of having to put the separate clips together in another app.

I too would love this feature, I like to record my gameplay but I have kids and frequently pause my games when they need attention.

Until then, any suggestions for applications to losslessly splice away pause screens?

This would really help. While streaming you can do an AFK BRB screen. It's really hard when doing 30-1 hour recordings to the disk without kids,pets,family , cooking , ect requiring us to stop our games while we could edit it out why not just allow us to be like hey we gotta go do something over the mic pause the recording and then start it back up either way the transaction will not be seamless but it will help alot.

I work for a video production company that streams live meetings. We currently are using xsplit and they were kind enough to add a pause feature for us on the recording end. We keep our streams running live with no need for a pause but the recordings we make need to have this feature. We are looking at OBS so that we can use our programmer to add some features we would like. Pause being at the top of the list.
