Pause Recording

Just downloaded OBS 26. How do I set up "Pause Recording?" The Files/Settings/Output screen is different.

Go to Settings - Output- Under "Recording Quality - Select any other choice instead of "Same as stream" That is what I had to do to get the Pause button option back after my update to 26.0.2

Anyone having any luck getting a pause button to appear? I tried the "anything other than Same As Stream" trick, as described in this thread, restarted the software, and I still don't see a way to pause a recording. v26.0.2, downloaded/installed today.

I have exactly the same problem as Brian009 does. I've tried every solution available on forums and YT tutorials, but nothing works.

I've cracked it!
Settings > Output > Output Mode: Simple > Recording > Encoder > Software (x264 low CPU usage preset, increases file size).
That's because my computer is a bit rusty.
